Kyle Johns joined ORRIon Energy as Vice President of Business Development in April 2024, bringing over 20 years of experience in exploration and production (E&P). His deep industry knowledge and extensive network across multiple basins provide ORRIon Energy access to high-value opportunities through well-established relationships. Kyle is committed to pursuing sustainable business ventures with basin-specific operators, fostering long-term partnerships that drive mutual growth.
 
Prior to joining ORRIon Energy, Kyle served as Director of Geoscience at Contango Oil and Gas for 12 years, where he was responsible for operational geology and M&A evaluations. Earlier in his career, he worked on enhanced oil recovery (EOR) projects at Denbury Resources and played a key role as part of the founding management team at Citrus Energy, an operator focused on the Appalachian region.
 
He is one of the few leaders who possesses both technical expertise and a proven track record in commercial leadership, earning him respect and influence across key industry stakeholders.
 
Kyle holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Ole Miss. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and owns property in Mississippi, where he manages land as an avid outdoorsman and conservationist.
